Oh no! We want a recount! Send in the lawyers! Count the hanging chads!

What could have gone wrong?

In answer to charges that Democrat Jon Ossoff’s documentary outfit produced films for (and was thus on the payroll of) Arab broadcasters Al Jazeera, his campaign replied: “Jon Ossoff’s company has produced films and video content for multiple clients and news organizations around the world, including Al Jazeera, since Jon became its CEO in 2013.” Besides which, his documentaries have actually won several awards from Politically Correct leftist outfits, they add, after airing on, um . . . CNN.

What? Why is everyone laughing? CNN is a legitimate news outlet, just like Al Jazeera. Everyone along the Amtrak line from Boston to Washington City knows THAT.

So Bob Dreyfuss of “The Nation” reported back on July 10, 2013 ( https://www.thenation.com/article/al-jazeeras-muslim-brotherhood-problem/ ): ”Al Jazeera’s Muslim Brotherhood Problem / Staff quits en masse over Qatar-imposed favoritism for the Brothers”

You don’t think Americans are going to pay attention to something like THAT, do you? That would be racist, Islamophobic, all that Basket-of-Deplorables stuff.

Did Dreyfuss write “Al Jazeera, the Qatar-based, Qatar-founded and Qatar-controlled mouthpiece for one the Arab kleptocracies of the Persian Gulf, has suffered a mass resignation. Twenty-two journalists who worked for Al Jazeera quit in protest after being told by their Qatari masters to support Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood”?

Never mind. Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain!

“According to The Washington Times, citing Al Arabiya and The Gulf News: ‘The Qatari-owned media company Al-Jazeera saw 22 members of its staff in Egypt resign on Monday over what they allege was “biased coverage” of the events that unfolded in Cairo last week.

“‘Al-Jazeera correspondent Haggag Salama was among those who resigned, accusing the station of “airing lies and misleading viewers,” Gulf News reported Monday. . . .’

“Journalist Abdel Latif el-Menawy, who was head of the Egypt News Center under ex-president Hosni Mubarak, said that Al-Jazeera was a ‘propaganda channel’ for the Brotherhood.”

SHUT UP! TURN THAT THING OFF!

“’Al Jazeera turned itself into a channel for the Muslim Brotherhood group,’ el-Menawy told Al Arabiya.

“According to The Gulf News, Anchor Karem Mahmoud said that Al Jazeera was explicitly ordered to support the Brotherhood.

“A few days ago, the new Egyptian government, installed by Egypt’s military, shut down an Al Jazeera office in Cairo. . . .”

Oh, whatever.

Democrats were still so convinced Jon Ossoff was the guy who could prove the American public is sick of their new president, ready to turn their backs on Donald Trump just because Democrats (and some very sneaky RINOS, like Soros-funded John McCain and never-Trumper Paul Ryan) are digging in their heels and using every trick in the book to try and stop him from accomplishing ANYTHING for the American people, that they poured MORE THAN 25 MILLION DOLLARS into Jon Ossoff’s campaign to win the special election to fill Tom Price’s Republican House seat in Georgia’s Sixth District tonight.

(Ossoff got eight times more loot from San Francisco than from all the Democratic donors of Georgia’s Sixth District, put together.)

Yet as of 9 p.m. Eastern time, with 83 percent of precincts reporting, underfunded Republican challenger Karen Handel, who the Usual Gang of Pollsters told us was down by 2 points just a few days ago, is BLOWING JON OSSOFF OUT OF THE WATER by more than 12,000 votes, leading by 6 points.

Not “in a squeaker.” BY SIX POINTS. (Maybe too many “likely Democrat voters” remained hiding in their parents’ basements, where Ossoff get-out-the-vote managers complained they were so hard to reach, Tuesday? How’s that “New Majority Coalition” working out, guys? Needed about 14,000 more illegal aliens, didn’t you? Maybe if you were to lower the voting age to 12 . . .)

And this in a race in a “changing demographic” district that Democrats and their handmaiden media have been telling us for months was “a referendum on Donald Trump.”

Think it’ll still be reported as “a referendum on Donald Trump” by tomorrow morning? That those newscasters will be telling us “Wow, I guess Americans really DO favor Mr. Trump and his agenda. I guess we’d better stop making ourselves look ridiculous by claiming he’s about to be impeached by a Republican Congress because his cousin Willie once made a phone call to book a Russian balalaika player for his kids’ party”?

Of course not. These sober-faced geniuses will discover, for the first time, that suburban Georgia voters are . . . racist. Yeah, that’s the ticket. They rejected Ossoff because he’s young, or Jewish, or something. Wait and see. It’ll be SOMETHING NO ONE HAS EVEN MENTIONED BEFORE. But 30 of them will talk about it for 18 hours, and it’ll become “the commonly accepted wisdom for why Ossoff lost.” It’ll turn into a race that “gives Democrats renewed hope, because it was so close” . . . or else commentators who 48 hours ago were soberly proclaiming this was “a referendum on Trump and his entire agenda” will discover the contest “didn’t matter that much, after all.”

Even when they win, Republicans are never to have the satisfaction of being told, “Congratulations; You guys won fair and square. Americans like your agenda, better. I guess we’d better all pitch in together and build that wall.” No, no, no. By suppertime Wednesday we’ll be told Handel and Trump won nothing. In fact, they fared so badly that they came in next-to-last!

This despite the fact that the Democrat was winning after the early voting (as usual, which is why Democrats are so enamored of early voting, an innovation eminently susceptible to fraud and manipulation.) That left Handel dependent on a high turnout among older Republicans, who prefer the social ritual of voting on Election Day, when poll watchers are more likely to spot fraud. Yet it rained heavily in the Sixth District Tuesday afternoon, doubtless suppressing her GOP turnout. Meaning that on a clear day Handel would likely have won by 8 or 9 points!

Think the lying scum will mention that?

In fact, you don’t suppose Georgia voters decided to cast their ballots against all those leftist newscasters and Hollywood media types cheering the assassination attempt on the Republican congressional baseball team last week, do you? You don’t suppose they’re getting sick and tired of this absurd “Russian collusion” witch hunt — from which the only practical outcome is that Donald Trump now finds it politically impossible to sit down with Vladimir Putin and agree to work together to wipe out ISIS in the Middle East — an artificial obstacle to cooperation that brings us closer each day to a completely unnecessary air war with Russia over Syrian airspace — do you?

You don’t suppose thoughtful grown-up voters preferred Handel’s support for law-abiding Georgians being “allowed” to carry self-defense weapons on college campuses . . . over Ossoff’s Democrat knee-jerk preference for keeping potential victims disarmed (College students “should be able to sit in class without worrying whether the student next to them has a Glock on their hip,” he simpered) . . . at the same time Ossoff favored open borders to admit ever more unscreened Muslim terrorists, and “sanctuary” for MS-13 gang-bangers?

Twenty five million dollars. Probably more.

Let’s see, if the Democrat Party can’t win a congressional seat in a district that went for Donald Trump by just 1 point last November by spending 25 million dollars (probably more), then in order to take back majority control of the House in 2018 as the new head of the Democratic National Committee has vowed to do, is likely to cost . . . hmm, flipping 25 seats at 50 million dollars for each percentage point by which each of those seats went Republican in 2016, start with 1.25 billion dollars, carry the one . . .

Yep. Time to ask Vladimir Putin to step in. Apparently HE knows how to do it.

NEXT TIME: MSNBC’s Joy Reid says we should hesitate to pray for Congressman Steve Scalise’s recovery from the rifle bullet of a Democratic assassin, since the congressman is a racist. ( http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/17/steve-scalise-cant-defend-himself-msnbc-is-back-to-attacking-him-anyway/ .)

In the first place, if Scalise WERE a racist, I’m not sure it should be the proper role of an ill-informed, smug, massively partisan television “newscaster” or “talk show host” to wish him dead, or to urge her viewers to wish him dead, and I thus don’t believe outfits like MSNBC, which harbor and fund and gleefully promote such race-based hatred and inflammatory rhetoric, which could easily make them an “accessory before the fact” to murder and treason, can lose viewers and go bankrupt fast enough.

In the second place, Scalise’s black Louisiana Democratic colleague Rep. Cedric Richmonds testifies Congressman Scalise “doesn’t have a racist bone in his body.” This whole “racism” charge has to do with the absurd (and doubtless purposeful) misreporting of the congressman having once addressed a group of constituents in a hotel where a group concerned with the rights of white people (as we can surely all agree the NAACP is concerned with the rights of black people, which doesn’t make the NAACP a “black supremacist” group, does it?) held a meeting IN A DIFFEENT ROOM of the same hotel SEVERAL HOURS LATER.

If there remain congressmen in Washington who issue standing orders to discriminate against blacks, or not to hire blacks, or to pay blacks three-fifths of what whites are paid, or that black employees must shuffle their feet and call them “Massa Steve,” we would certainly like to hear about that. The last member of Congress I know of that could be legitimately charged with that kind of stuff was former Ku Klux Klan Grand Kleagle Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, of whom Hillary Clinton said on June 28, 2010, “Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor, Robert C. Byrd.”

(Yes, really. . . . http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/08/25/hillary-clinton-friend-mentor-robert-byrd-kkk/ .)

And Sen. Byrd was, of course . . . a lifelong Democrat.

The highly flexible and never-very-specific definitions under which these Politically Correct berserkers now feel safe condemnning ANY conservative white male as a “racist,” “homophobe,” etc., will not stand. They have run their disastrous, destructive course.

Political Correctness actually PROMOTES racism by making Americans reluctant to discuss the real “racism of lowered expectations” (massively on display in Washington, D.C., by the way: see Clarence Thomas’ tale of the government worker who opened the back door of his car as he was leaving the federal courthouse one day, climbed in and gave him an address — assuming the black man in the fancy car must be a chauffeur) through which the Leftist welfare state imprisons vast numbers of minority Americans in multi-generational poverty, as well as the largely race- and gender-based class system that ridicules and dismisses the achievements of the likes of Sarah Palin and Clarence Thomas because they’re “not real women” or “not real blacks” because they didn’t attend the right Ivy League schools and because they refuse to memorize and recite on command the Politically Correct catechisms mouthed so happily for their corporate masters by sneering bitches like . . . Joy Reid.

NEXT TIME.

Oh yes… it would be very entertaining to watch the Democrats self destruct, if so many others were not playing the same game. In the end, here’s hoping the usual audience of this political farce throws their popcorn on the floor and walks out…

  2. Vin Says:

Already Wednesday morning, Eric Bradner at CNN Politics was reporting ( http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/20/politics/georgia-house-results-ossoff-handel/ ): “With Handel’s win, Republicans on Capitol Hill are likely to feel they are on the right track — helping the GOP’s push for health care and tax reform legislation. It could also show House incumbents that they can separate themselves from Trump effectively on the campaign trail, and stave off a potential wave of retirements.”

Really? In fact, Karen Handel — looking suitably incredulous at the very question — said from Day One she would welcome the help and support of President Trump. She invited him to a fund-raiser in Georgia, and he went. She campaigned on the Trump agenda, never seeking to “separate herself from Trump.”

On Tuesday night, Breitbart News reports “Supporters of Karen Handel chanted Donald Trump’s name after she clinched a decisive victory over Democrat Jon Ossoff in a special election held in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District.

“After thanking Republican leaders for their support, Handel gave a ‘special thanks to the President of the United States of America,’ which was greeted by chants of ‘TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP’ by her audience.”

In fact, Handel’s victory demonstrates the OPPOSITE of what CNN is claiming — it demonstrates House incumbents (as well as GOP challengers) can safely and successfully EMBRACE Trump and his very popular agenda on the campaign trail, and win in 2018.

Why on earth would GOP incumbents want to join any unusual “wave of retirements” when their party is doing better than they’ve done since 1922 — when a few more sensible Supreme Court and Appeals Court appointments and a few congressional leadership changes (replacing clueless, foot-dragging RINOs like Paul Ryan with true Trump Republicans) are likely to usher in a 25-to-40-year era of conservatives rolling back the Collectivist Kleptocrat Global-Warming Transgender lunacy and Making America Great Again?

Why on earth would GOP incumbents seek victory by “separating themselves” from a cheerful, active, hearty, popular president (his approval numbers are RISING, even in rigged polls conducted by the same clowns who play the shark music from “Jaws” and claim he’s beset by made-up scandals) and his popular agenda of more jobs; better trade deals; lower taxes; sweeping aside unnecessary, counterproductive, job-destroying regulations, and blocking the arrival of more Muslim terrorists and honor killers and female genital mutilators and tattooed MS-13 murderers?

CNN is attempting to project its own prejudice — that Trump is “failing,” crippled by the (supposed) “Russian collusion problems” that they and the sexually unusual Robby Mook and John Podesta made up out of thin air last November the 9th, that President Trump is thus somehow an electoral Typhoid Mary — onto a real world where voters outside New York City, San Francisco and the D.C. Beltway obviously like Trump, support his agenda, and feel he’s doing fine . . . except for the fact that everyone still has to endure this endless slavering fantasy of the demented Media/Hollywood Left that they’re going to “bring him down the way they got Richard Nixon” . . . any minute now.

(Mook and Podesta made it up: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/05/new-book-shattered-clinton-insiders-reveals-blame-russia-plan-hatched-podesta-mook-within-24-hours-election-loss/ .)

And now Democrats — DEMOCRATS — want to make this a shooting war?

I’ll tell you who’s going down. Watch for more layoffs and management changes and face-saving “mergers” at outfits like CNN and MSNBC and the Washington Post and New York Times, which just last summer was reminding us Ohio was the “bellwather” state that generally predicts presidential election outcomes, but then — by October, when Trump surged to a five point lead in the Ohio polls and never looked back — switched gears and told us “Ohio doesn’t matter any more,” that “changing demographics have taken away the significance Ohio used to enjoy as a predictor of presidential election outcomes.”

    (Ohio doesn’t matter any more — https://vinsuprynowicz.com/?p=3651 .)

Yeah. We’re idiots. We’ll believe water now flows uphill. We’ll believe ANYTHING, if it SAYS SO ON CNN, OR IN THE NEW YORK TIMES.

A few minutes after covering Jon Ossoff’s “We’ve started something great” concession speech right through to the end (No, Jon. Actually, you showed how a Democrat can spend $30 million of out-of-state money on out-of-state advisors and still lose), CNN cut away from Karen Handel’s victory speech Tuesday night just as she was about to begin describing the issues that defined her agenda.

“There was no breaking news elsewhere that demanded attention,” reports Joel Pollack at Breitbart. “CNN merely cut back to a group of talking heads.”

CNN clearly doesn’t want to know — and most of all doesn’t want its VIEWERS to know — the issues on which the Republican won this “diverse, upscale, suburban” district — precisely the kind of district Democrats plan to target in 2018.

Nor does it want to give Republicans and other fans of smaller, less intrusive government a SINGLE MOMENT to savor the payoff for their hard work as the pendulum continues to swing back toward sanity and common sense.

  4. Vin Says:

CNN thinks Republican candidates are looking for ways to “separate themselves from Trump effectively on the campaign trail”?

    Ha!

See Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel report Karen Handel’s victory in Georgia Tuesday means her party’s strategy going forward is to . . . (wait for it) . . . fully embrace President Donald Trump’s agenda.

“President Trump energizes our base,” McDaniel explains. “He gets Republicans out. They are 100 percent with him. And they are following his agenda. . . . We saw that message in November. Now we see that message in these four special elections. Bringing the president into these races has only energized our base more. . . . He’s energized our base in all of these specials and our base notices if you walk away. So we want to support the leader of our party and people want to see things get done.”

So, CNN? MSNBC? New York Times? I know you’re not familiar with this sensation, so let me explain it to you.

    You’re “losing.”

Most gratifying to read of Nancy Pelosi’s angry responses to calls for her to step down as minority leader.
This was due to her very effective personage being used in ALL FIVE special elections the Democrats lost.

Brought a smile to my face as I first read about it.
Brings a smile to my face again as I post this comment.

Puhlease, Nance, puhlease keep being minority leader and puhlease keep on lending your image and words to those TV buys!

Speaking of which, Dean Heller is a no….now what about those incessant broadcast buys telling us to call him and tell him to vote no on a bill that doesn’t yet exist?
Even today, it’s nothing more than a Senate proposal up for “discussion” and even if it passes muster will face reconciliation?

Ah the hell with it. They really do think we are all id10ts.

  7. Rob Gillespie Says:

I’m sure you’ll be happy to learn that the Donkey boys did not call Georgia voters racist and attribute Karen Handel’s win (which they described as a squeaker – she won by 3.8 points, the Republicans’ 23.4 points in November and they don’t mention the spending disparity) to that. Oh, no: they have seized in what I’m sure they think is a much better idea!

According to someone named Sarah Kendzior (described as a “St. Louis, MO-based commentator who writes about politics, the economy, and media”) in an article published in Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper on June 21 (with no indication that it was ever published in the US, where people could more readily check it), () the reason Ms. Handel won is that the Republicans have taken to “voter suppression”.

I’ve heard this term before, from people who are very careful not to describe how it supposedly works, but who make all kinds of claims about its nefarious results. Ms. Kendzior writes thus: “Since the US Supreme Court enacted a partial repeal of the Voting Rights Act in June 2013, many US states have passed new Voter ID laws making it more difficult for racial minorities, the poor and the elderly to vote.” Notice she doesn’t explain how this supposedly works…

She then goes on to make the claim that “Voter suppression was so severe in 2016 that it arguably determined the winner in close states such as Wisconsin, where more than 200,000 voters [no citation] were disenfranchised and Mr. Trump won by 22,748 votes.”

She then goes on to claim that Trump’s “Voter Fraud Commission” is an “active measure to further voter suppression.” Its purpose, according to her, is to “make it more difficult for non-white citizens to cast their ballots”.

She also claims that “the 2016 Russia election cyberattack breached the voting rolls of more than 39 states.” No evidence cited that it did this, or that it even happened, but we are supposed, I guess, to infer that that caused, not only Trump’s election victory, but possibly Ms Handel’s, as well.

According to her (one guesses) Barry O’Bomber’s administration wasn’t an autocracy and Dolores Umbridge Clinton could not possibly be an autocrat, but “Every burgeoning autocracy [that would be Trump’s government] exploits pre-existing injustices. In the United States, race-based voter suppression has long been in play, and Russian interference remains an active threat.” (Wow! Two in one sentence…)

I’m guessing this will be the Dems’ new tactic; to claim that whenever they lose it’s because everybody else cheated. Ms. Kendzior concludes her piece with the claim that the winning candidate herself must have personally cheated. “…Ms. Handel, whose long record of voter suppression [no citations] includes voter-ID laws, trying to purge thousands of voters [again, no citations – I guess the ‘j’accuse’ is supposed to be its own proof] and failure to secure Georgia’s voting machines [presumably so the Russians could more easily interfere and cheat for her].”

Well, that wasn’t quite the conclusion. She uses that to prepare us for the inevitable Democratic losses in the mid-terms and assure us it will all be because of Republican cheating: “The alarming thing about Ms. Handel is not that she won, but that she and other members of the GOP will use such tactics to ensure their win. That’s what to watch out for in 2018.”

Yes, indeed. Such claims are what we should all be watching for – and expecting – in 2018.
